This screen contains application-wide settings as well as information and links.
In the future, this will also provide additional settings for the homepage and bookshelf.
Theme
By default, Thorium Mobile will follow your system settings and automatically switch between light and dark modes.
If you’d like to force either light or dark mode at all times, you can set this preference on this screen.
Keep in mind that this preference does not apply to your reading theme, which can be set while reading. This means that you could use the app in dark mode, but read in sepia mode for example.
System Settings
On iOS and iPadOS, system settings are available to:
- set the language
- select where your publications will be stored
- allow system-wide search for your publications
- and allow Siri to interact with the app
Selecting where your publications will be stored is a key feature:
- if you select iCloud Drive, you’ll be able to automatically restore your list of publications whenever you migrate to a new iPhone or iPad
- if you select your local device instead, it won’t migrate your content automatically when you switch to a new device
Using iCloud Drive provides a lot of benefits, but will use some of the available storage tied to your Apple Account.
